In the Spotlight – Premium Organic Matcha 2010 – Tea Review
Posted in Matcha News, Matcha tea | 0 commentsSupplier’s description:
Just as with fine champagne, restrictions in geography and nutrient levels make it extraordinarily challenging to make a stellar organic matcha. Without fertilizer, tea plants often lack the nutrients (and particularly the nitrogen) they need to produce their best leaves. All too often, this results in a sub-par matcha. Thankfully, our Premium Organic Matcha is an exception to this rule. Handcrafted almost entirely from gyokuro leaves, this rare, organic matcha has a gorgeous chartreuse color with a profoundly sweet, fresh aroma and a light iodine note.
It readily froths into a full, pale green, foamy head with a deep green body. The liquid aroma is rich and intensely fresh, without the bitter tones of lesser matchas. Flavors of stewed collard greens, steamed spinach and kale are complemented by a thick, buttery sweetness and a delicate taste of mountain apple tree blossoms. The clean, creamy aftertaste is reminiscent of puréed cream of spinach soup and the delicate astringency of fresh-cut green leaves. This package of 30 grams Matcha is both IMO/Switzerland and USDA Certified Organic.

This Organic Matcha tea offers great value for money – you get premium quality organic Matcha tea which lasts for about two months and offers the best experience of Matcha tea. After initially using it only for making tea, I did more experiments with Matcha latte and Matcha milkshake and the result were just yummy!
If you consider the price a bit too high, you need to take into account that this is one of the higher range Matcha products which is prepared to offer the finest experience! It is definitely worth investing few extra dollars to get this unique experience of tea!
